Beefcake! Beefcake!
July 21, 2003 - 12:19 PM This will officially be week 3 of the quasi-diet/workout, in my determined bid to lose 30-40 pounds by the end of the year. This weekend doesn't count, though, because I had company. But ther real reason is that Uncle Dave just makes a damn good steak and a mighty fine salad dressing. There's now way I could be expected not to break bread, especially when the bread is so tasty and the company is so nice.Besides, life is too short not to indulge when you can. And you should. But, now its back to the grind. I've been doing the treadmill for 45 minutes a day (almost every day), I've got my Diet Mt. Dew (one a day only!), my whole wheat bread, my low fat lunch meat, my Healthy Choice TV dinners, and now I have half a watermelon for snacking. And, on the upside, today I'm wearing pants that, two weeks ago, I could barely fit into. So, apparently I'm getting results, even if they're not showing in the mirror yet. I'm between 225 and 230 now. I'd like to be at 190, but I'll be happier getting back down to 200. All I know is that something has to give, because I can't continue at this pace. I really don't want to go back to work right now. *sigh* "I'm a driver, I'm a winner. things are gonna' change I can feel it."
