You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em...
September 24, 2003 - 9:14 PM I'm participating in the football pool at work for the second week. I'm not sure why, since I came in dead last in the pool with a measly 5 out of 14.I definitely need to have a better showing this week, or I'll most likely just drop out of the damn thing. The problem is I have poor instincts. Perhaps I should employ a George-Costanza-like philosophy: If every instinct I have is wrong, the opposite would have to be right. So, this week, I'm going to make my picks, then I'm going to do the exact opposite. Watch, this will be the week where my instincts are dead-on. Murphy's Law, I'm tellin' ya.
